I have maintained a passion for children's books throughout my life. It was actually my love for their illustrations which prompted me to become an artist. I can remember vividly how from a very young age I would flip through the pages and dream of one day being talented enough to create my own children's book with my own illustrations. For my college graduation project, I decided to make that dream a reality. I began by taking the stories my mother used to tell me as a child, and recreating them in my own words to form a story. Next, I produced a series of illustrations to match the story and digitally edited them to create a polished, professional body of work. Lastly, I created a font and graphics to accompany the page, and tie together the finished product. I used Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to edit, perfect, and finally assemble my work.
